Kirk was born in Nashville, Tennessee and raised in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He proudly graduated from with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science in 1988. He received his Juris Doctorate from the where he was Research Editor of the Oklahoma Law Review. Since being admitted to the Oklahoma Bar in 1992 he has tirelessly advocated the rights of people who have ‘had something bad happen to them.’ His areas of practice include personal injury, trucking accidents, sexual abuse and misconduct, nursing home negligence and abuse, products liability and insurance disputes.
Kirk and his entire family were impacted by his mother’s long and courageous fight against Alzheimer’s disease. As a result, he has been involved for over a decade in Alzheimer’s education and fund-raising efforts. From 2003 to 2007 he served on the Board of Directors for the . In 2003, Kirk received the McDaniel Award for Excellence for his support and dedication to helping in the fight against Alzheimer’s disease.
He is among a select group of Oklahoma Attorneys with an ‘AV’ rating by and received the ‘Leadership in Law Award’ in 2008 from the Oklahoma County Bar Association.
Kirk and his wife Angie have been married for over fifteen years and enjoy the daily circus of raising their three children: Sam, Emily and Luke. He enjoys coaching his boys’ athletic teams, attending the practices and games as well as his daughter’s dance recitals. In his spare time Kirk always looks forward to cheering the Oklahoma State University Cowboys and the Oklahoma City Thunder on to victory!
